You are so terrible !!!!!!! His friend had a baby die and seriously all that matters is a baby monitor. Thank God, you're not my friend!
OMG. You do not ask. It would be very rude and very insensitive of you. Many people have already been (sufficiently insensitive to the parents concerned and I do know from experience), things do not happen!
I had been born two baby showers thrown for me before my son, and eventually died of congenital heart and lungs before they can take home from the hospital.
